Family & friends in Canada & the UK...

In Vietnam you feel like an outsider at the same time as feeling very welcome. It's a confusing sensation. The upside is that Vietnamese culture is founded on the solidarity of family. I feel on a common ground with them because when I tell a Vietnamese friend that I miss my people back home, they get it! After that they invite you to have some rice wine to toast Ho Chin Minh. OK then!
