Ankor Wat - Cambodia - February 2007

Our trip to Ankor Wat started with a cab ride from the new airport past scads of huge Japanese Casino/convention style hotels. A testament to the draw of the newest wonder of the world.

We spent 2 days touring the temples but you could spend a week and not see it all. It's THAT huge. We were overwhelmed by the majesty and history of Ankor. To see several statues & faces vandalised by Pol Pot's regime was infuriating - it's a reminder of Cambodia's not so distant past.
